Emergency board-up after break-in — Kings Heath B14
The problem
Homeowner returned at midnight to find the rear uPVC door smashed in — burglars had gained entry by snapping a standard Euro cylinder (no anti-snap protection). Police already attended and provided a crime reference number.
What we did
Attended at 1:15am. Boarded the damaged rear door with 18mm plywood to secure the property overnight. Removed the snapped Euro cylinder, capped the aperture, and scheduled the lock upgrade for the following morning at a time the customer chose.
Outcome
Property secure within 60 minutes of arrival. Next day, fitted a TS007 3-star Ultion cylinder, realigned the door, and provided a written incident report for the customer's insurance claim. Total package £380 across both visits.
